Microsoft MS DOS/95/98/me: virus scan

  • I am running Windows ME v6.0.2800.1106 and I am trying to do a virus scan in dos per Mcafee and unable to get the "C" prompt. I follow their directions (download and extract their beta detection zip, start computer with bootup disc in the "A" drive), but instead of the "C" prompt I get the "A" prompt. I do not know dos at all so I'm lost and Mcafee is useless. Any ideas?

    1. To get to a C prompt type:

      c:

      and press enter.
