  • Hi everybody !!!....I have an Acer Aspire 7111 with windows 98 and I want to install w2k on it, but an error appears telling me that my BIOS is not fully acpi compliant and that I need to upgrade the BIOS. I already use the aflash utility to upgrade my V66M motherboard but it sent me a msg saying "No file could be written to flash memory"...what can I do?...I really appreciate any help...tks.

    1. Usually at the start of the upgrade w2k tells you what drivers you need as well. You got to have all 100% of those too. If you can't flash the ?BIOS you're done. Microsoft has a 30 day satisfaction guaranteed policy. If you just bought Win2K call MS customer service for a prompt refund.
