Microsoft MS DOS/95/98/me: Upgrade from NT 4.0

  • My friend has a computer bought from his employer that has Win NT 4.0 on it.
    He bought a XP Home Edition upgrade but it won't upgrade.
    I have the computer now, can I upgrade from NT to ME with a ME Upgrade
    disk?
    Please advise.

      No. Win Me is a Win9x based operating system rather than an NT based
      system like NT, W2K & XP. Whilst 9x systems can often be upgraded to NT
      based system the reverse is not true.
