Microsoft Software & Solutions: Dial Up Works -- Pages Won't Load

• Ever since my last windows update I haven't been able to use the internet at
  all -- even though my connection is working fine. I've tried IE, Netscape
  and AIM and nothing will open up. I think it might have something to do with
  the new firewall settings but I can't get the outcome to change no matter how
  I change them. Any thoughts?

  2. It's window XP home edition. Don't know what NIS or NPF is...
